We were delighted to welcome leading B2B telemarketing consultancy, Cre8 Sales Solutions, to our Branston Court offices back in 2017; in less than a year they’ve already outgrown one office and moved into an even larger space in our Hockley Terrace and welcomed 2 new members of staff on board. With their keen eye for business opportunities, the team at Cre8 pride themselves on their “unsalesy”, person-centred approach to business growth.
Having built quite the growing enterprise over the years, we were eager to find out more about them, so we sat down with Julia Smith, Managing Director, to learn more about the business and find out how they’ve adjusted to life at Branston Court.
Hi Julia, tell us a little bit about Cre8 Sales Solutions and what you do.
We’ve been helping businesses to grow through sales and telemarketing campaigns for 8 years now. We reach out to people’s target markets so they can generate more leads for their businesses, we also offer sales coaching and consultancy so they can achieve this themselves. We’re currently a team of 4 but are soon welcoming a fifth member of the Cre8 team aboard.
A growing business! That’s what we like to see. So where were you based before coming to Branston Court?
We were actually based at RBS in Birmingham City Centre on their e-spark business growth programme. When that came to its natural end we decided that we needed our own space rather than sharing an open plan office with multiple businesses.
That’s understandable, what made you decide on Branston Court?
We were checking out office spaces on Google and really liked the feel of Urban so we decided to take a look. We had looked at a few offices by that point but we were just taken by how friendly and helpful Darryl and Adrian were. We also really liked the fact that it feels like a real community here. There are lots of different businesses here and it’s nice to know we’re all in it together. The location really is brilliant too, we love the Jewellery Quarter – in fact it’s here that myself and my fellow Director and friend Tracy first met so it certainly holds some significance for us.
You’ve actually moved spaces already within Branston, how did you find the transition?
We initially took out one of the newer Branston Court offices at the front of the Branston Street units but after falling head over heels for the aesthetic of Hockley Terrace we jumped at the chance to move in after one of the larger units became available. The team were really flexible and were happy to offer up the space and help us make the move.
What would you say is your favourite thing about being an UrbanWorkSpace tenant?
It would have to be that community aspect, being in amongst small business owners is refreshing. We really love the courtyard in Hockley Terrace where we’re based too.
What do you love most about being a Birmingham based business?
Birmingham is really vibrant and exciting with loads of great culture, there is a lot happening and the people are great and very proud of their history and heritage.
We’d have to agree with you there. What has Cre8 been up to as a business lately?
We’ve been planning some further growth with the recruitment of a new team member, and also introducing a new pilot/entry level offering for small businesses. We can now offer businesses the option to dip their toe in the water as it were at £250 + VAT per month to help them get some sales activity underway so they start generating more leads.
Also, because we know how daunting it can be to tackle business development and sales on top of your usual business management activities, we offer coaching sessions whereby we work with business owners on their sales and marketing strategy and their mindsets, so they head off in the right direction.
Looks like you’re going to be busy! So what’s next for Cre8?
We’re looking into developing our small business offering a bit further – can’t say too much more but watch this space! We’re also looking to franchise our business model which is very exciting.
